A new online application will change the way Bahamians and residents seek reputable home service providers while facilitating hundreds of jobs when it launches its (beta) phase one in August, says app developer Janay Symonette.
FindrPro disrupts the traditional way people find, review, endorse and choose the best service providers, specifically in the construction and home maintenance industries in the Bahamas.
Unlike other websites and Facebook groups where users search through listings of service providers, FindrPro generates a list of professionals with price estimates after customers answer questions specific to what they need. The customer can then read professionals’ profiles, preview photos of their work and send them messages.
“FindrPro is replacing the conversation you’d have with every single professional you talk to—‘Hi, here’s the problem I’m having’ or ‘Here’s what I need. Can you do it? And, if so, how much do you charge?’” Symonette said.
For “pros” that sign up to join the FindrPro’s network, they will receive notifications of potential jobs each time a questionnaire is completed. While customers will instantly see the pro’s price estimate for that job via FindrPro’s dynamic pricing algorithm, pros can then choose to send a specific price quote to land the job faster or wait for booking requests to come in.
Small business owners have the most to gain and the Bahamian economy could see a million-dollar surplus with the launch of FindrPro. In fact, it has already gained an endorsement from Bahamas Contractors Association president, Leonard Sands, who says that “this product will nationally affect our gross profit, significantly increase a contractor’s yearly turn over, which adds more value to our bottom line.”
With copious amounts of Facebook groups and other websites that Bahamians use to seek out at-home service providers and other professional services, FindrPro offers to close the gap, giving Bahamians transparency that they want in home construction and maintenance industries while allowing more professionals in the country to be a part of the selection process.
“Listings just don’t cut it anymore,” Symonette said. “With FindrPro, you are now looking at professionals who can do what you need, when you need it and at the price that you choose. Customers want more data and they need to be able to do more with that information, and that’s how FindrPro differs from other portals.”
FindrPro will launch with over 50 professionals and companies in the FindrPro network, representing various skills in the construction and home maintenance industries, including electricians, plumbers and others.
FindrPro is accepting applications from business owners, contractors and home maintenance companies to onboard as early adapters and become a part of the conversation in the service sector by visiting findrpro.com and completing the Become A Pro sign-up form.
